The Random Wheel Spinner is a customizable spinning wheel that picks a random name or option from your list. Type your entries — one per line — and each becomes a colored slice of the wheel. Give it a spin and let it land on a random winner, completely at random and impossible to predict.

It’s perfect for giveaways and raffles, picking who goes first, choosing where to eat, classroom activities, or settling any decision fairly. Everything runs in your browser, so your list is never uploaded or stored.

How to use the wheel spinner

  1. Type your entries in the box on the right, one per line — names, options, prizes, anything.
  2. Each entry appears as a slice on the wheel. Use Shuffle to randomize their order if you like.
  3. Click the wheel or the SPIN button and watch it spin to a random winner.
  4. Turn on “Remove the winner after each spin” to draw multiple unique winners in a row — handy for raffles and elimination rounds.

Is the wheel truly random?

Yes. Each spin uses your browser’s random number generator and lands on a uniformly random angle, so every entry has an equal chance of winning — the result isn’t decided in advance and can’t be nudged. Because all slices are the same size, a list of five names gives each name a one-in-five chance.

The winner is whatever slice ends up under the pointer at the top when the wheel stops, exactly as you’d expect from a real physical wheel.

What people use it for

  • Giveaways, raffles, and prize draws — with “remove winner” for multiple unique picks.
  • Classrooms — picking a student, a group order, or a random question.
  • Deciding what to eat, watch, or do when nobody can agree.
  • Choosing turn order for games, chores, or presentations.
  • Team stand-ups — randomly picking who speaks next.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many entries can I add?

As many as you like. With a lot of entries the slices get thin and labels are shortened to fit, but the wheel still spins and picks fairly. For readability, a few dozen entries works best.

Can I remove a winner and spin again?

Yes. After a spin you can click “Remove” on the winner banner, or turn on “Remove the winner after each spin” to do it automatically — ideal for drawing several unique winners in a row.

Does it save my list?

The list stays only in the page while you use it. Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server, so refreshing or closing the page clears it. Keep a copy of your entries elsewhere if you need them again.

Can entries have different odds?

Every slice is the same size, so all entries have an equal chance. If you want one option to be more likely, add it to the list more than once — two identical lines give it double the chance.

Is the wheel spinner free?

Completely free, with no sign-up. It runs entirely in your browser and works on both desktop and mobile.
