The Date Difference Calculator tells you exactly how much time lies between two dates. Pick a start date and an end date and it instantly shows the difference in days, weeks, months, and years, along with a calendar-accurate breakdown (for example, 2 years, 3 months, and 12 days).
It also counts how many of those days are weekdays (Monday–Friday) and how many are weekend days, which is useful for planning work, projects, notice periods, and deadlines. Everything is calculated in your browser — no dates are uploaded or stored.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many days are there between two dates?
Enter both dates and the calculator shows the exact number of days between them, along with the difference in weeks, months, and years. By default the start day is counted but the end day is not; tick “Include the end day” to count both.
Does the calculator count weekdays only?
It shows both. You get the total number of days, and separately the number of weekdays (Monday–Friday) and weekend days (Saturday and Sunday) that fall within the range.
What is the difference between the total days and the years/months/days breakdown?
Total days is the raw number of days between the dates. The years/months/days breakdown expresses the same gap in calendar terms, accounting for the different lengths of months and for leap years.
Does it handle leap years?
Yes. The calculation uses real calendar dates, so leap years and the varying number of days in each month are handled automatically.
Does it matter which date I put first?
No. If the “To date” is earlier than the “From date”, the calculator still returns the correct positive difference between them.
